Cortez Hill is one of the older neighborhoods in Downtown San Diego. Here you will find many historic buildings and quite complexes. There are eleven different residential buildings in Cortez Hill, including the historic El Cortez, which was built on the site of Ulysses S. Grant, Jr.’s former home in 1927. El Cortez is a quiet neighborhood that sits away from all of the hustle and bustle, but is still just a cab ride away from all of the major attractions.
